Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park (The Elephant Paradise)

Your safari begins with a 7:30 AM pickup from your Arusha hotel. After a 2-hour drive, you enter Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive Baobab trees and the largest concentration of elephants in the country. During the dry season, the Tarangire River becomes the primary water source for thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and buffaloes.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the river, followed by an afternoon game drive searching for lions, leopards, and over 500 species of birds. In the late afternoon, you will exit the park and head to the colorful town of Karatu.
